Niraxx, a neurotech innovation company

Empowering individuals to take charge of their brain health for life.

Our Story

We aim to transform brain health care by giving individuals access to effective, truly wearable, non-medication self-care solutions.

Niraxx was founded in Nov. 2016 BY Co-founders JOSHUA Chen and Dr. Paolo cassano.

We aim to create a new category of wearables for brain health and related disorders. We have made the conscious decision to integrate Photomedicine and Digital Technologies into Clothing because we believe that the form factor—which is universal and versatile—offers an unprecedented opportunity to transform the embodied care delivery experience. It’s time to evolve beyond the one-size-fits-all approach addressing brain health.

Niraxx Launched its first product and app in 2020.

We innovate while keeping the user at the center of R&D. We have spent the last three years translating Photobiomodulation (PBM), the latest neuromodulation and neurostimulation technology, from bulky device form to comfortable, portable e-textile form suitable for everyday wear. Together, our Bluetooth-connected device and app solution enables individuals to take control of their brain health effortlessly at their fingertips through six tailored programs of neuromodulating light.

future: AI-based, Personalized predictive clothing form systems.

We have only just started our work. In the future, we envision a system that will provide brain state monitoring, live feedback reporting and real-time light dosage adjustment. We continue to work with top researchers and data scientists to strengthen our science and improve our algorithms to deliver tailored light dosage based on calculated frequency, intensity and duration. We also plan to scale our fashion partnerships to develop stylish wellness wear.
